GIFF’s 2016 SAG Awards Red Carpet Round-up

SAGS-BEST-DRESSED

BEST DRESSED

The best dressed at the 2016 SAG Awards in our opinion went to the lovely Rachel McAdams, wearing a gorgeous black beaded Elie Saab gown. McAdams joined the actors from SPOTLIGHT as they took took home the award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, an award that is extremely well-deserved. We expect to see even more from McAdams as award season continues because she is nominated for an Academy Award for her role in the film.

SAGS-FLORALS

FABULOUS FLORALS

MAD MEN star Kiernan Shipka looked sensational in a purple floral Erdem bustier gown. The 16-year-old starlet has always been a knockout on the red carpet, and the SAG Awards were no exception. Now that MAD MEN has wrapped, we hope to see great things from this star in the future.

SAGS-Holy-shine

HOLY SHINE!

Alicia Vikander was the bell of the ball Saturday night as she took home a SAG Award for her outstanding performance in THE DANISH GIRL. Stunning in a sequin, color block Louis Vuitton column dress, Vikander is letting the world know that she is here to stay. While 2015 was an amazing year for her, we hope that award season is the beginning of an even better 2016.

SAGS-#sistergoals

#SISTERGOALS

Forget Squad Goals, we are officially tweeting #SISTERGOALS after seeing the Mara sisters kill it on the red carpet. Rooney Mara, nominated for her role in CAROL, rocked a deep-V gown, while her older sister Kate showed off some cleavage from the side in an equally stunning gown. While Kate spent the night supporting her sister, her film THE MARTIAN is nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards this year. Be on the look out for this dynamic duo to be making at least one more red carpet appearance this award season.

SAGS-PINK

PRETTY IN PINK

A strong standout from this award season has been Saoirse Ronan for her phenomenal performance in BROOKLYN. Wearing a gorgeous pale pink Michael Kors column gown and a messy top-knot, Ronan showed how far she has come since being nominated for her performance in ATONEMENT at age 13. Now only 21, we hope Ms. Ronan has a long career ahead of her.
