After months of preparation and anticipation, the Greenwich International Film Festival celebrated the 2017 Opening Night Party on Friday, June 2nd at the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich.

After the Opening Night Film Premiere of BENDING THE ARC, and enlightening discussion about the status of Global Health, festival guests arrived at the party via Uber, the official transportation partner of GIFF. Guests walked the red carpet and then were ushered to the main room of the party and met by GIFF’s sponsors and local businesses.

Our Casamigos Tequila VIP Lounge was the place to be, with comfortable couches to lounge before and after Flo Rida’s performance. Guests sipped on the exclusive VIP Lounge drinks – the Casamigos VIP Margarita, The Changemaker and the Fresh Perspective.

The night’s festivities began with the presentation of the Film Awards. Sophia Bush, Head of the Social Impact Jury for the 2017 Festival, helped Colleen deVeer, Director of Programming, and Sam Kleiner, GIFF Programmer, present the 2017 Film Awards. And then, the party truly started. Flo Rida took the stage! Flo Rida brought down the house, inviting guests up on stage during his songs and even singing on top of the mirrored bar in the middle of the room. While on top of the bar, Flo Rida chugged a Miller Highlife beer and then was escorted back to the main stage on the shoulders of his bodyguard. Truly a sight to see!
